29 April 2009 – Today I shot some studio portraits with the band Goodnight Gravity and it was a really good time. I normally never shoot band members in a formal studio and I most certainly never normally shoot artists with their instruments unless they are playing them (at a live gig, in studio or at a band rehearsal) but this time I decided to give it a try CLICK HERE TO SEE MORE

26 April 2009 – Today I shot photographs with a really amazing bunch of people that play in a band called Native Souls and I really had a super time working with them. We met up this afternoon for a walk around the river just trying to find some random street scenes to match their really cool urban sound. These are a few of the photographs from the day. I don’t want to post anymore just yet because I don’t want to ruin it before the band has even seen any of them.

23 April 2009 – Today I shot with a band called Monday Club and the weather was really good so it was nice getting out and shooting outdoors for a change. The band is working hard on their launch and their myspace and website is currently under construction so I will update this post as soon as I have details on their URL’s so that you can check them out. I have had the chance to listen to some of their unreleased tracks and these guys are going to be big.

20 April 2009 – This afternoon / evening I shot portraits with the guys from Senses Fail and they were really nice guys. Having worked with SO many bands I know how busy the members schedules can be when they are touring so I tried to make sure that I use as little time of theirs as I can and the guys definitely appreciated this.

20 April 2009 – I shot some portraits with the guys from Senses Fail for an interview that they did with Clink Magazine and I will post them a bit later. The guys were really cool so I stayed to watch their live show and shot a few photographs in between the chaos. The pit was small and the bouncers big so it was quite interesting trying to move around in there.

19 April 2009 – The last band I shot at Give It A Name was one of my all time favourite bands and I had a lot to expect from them. Thankfully Taking Back Sunday never let me down.

19 April 2009 – Ok, so I had no idea or expectation at all for what I was about to experience when Underoath took to stage and I have to say that I was BLOWN away. No band has ever shown me that much drive before in my life and their presence was unbelievable. Honestly, I was dumb founded at what I was hearing and it was clear that majority of the crowd was not as naive as I was.

19 April 2009 – Tonight I photographed at Give It A Name again and the first band that I shot of was Thursday and they were a good start to get woken up on this “up until then” lazy sunday.

17 April 2009 – I also photographed Enter Shikari at Give It A Name and although I had no idea of how they would sound, they were really different to what I had expected. Plenty of energy and an all round good set.

17 April 2009 – Tonight was the first night of Give It A Name and I went through to shoot two of the bands and this is the first set of photographs from the night of the band The Blackout and for the first time on this site I decided to shoot in Black and White because the lighting just seemed to suit it more. Basically the stage was mostly back-lit so it was really weird to work with but I think these have come out alright.

16 April 2009 – Tonight I shot photographs with Cassette as they played a showcase to launch their latest album Who do you trust?. The show was at the Monto Water Rats which was a really cool intimate venue and the crowd was strong as is always the case with Cassette.

12 April 2009 – Tonight was one of my most exciting live shoots to date as I got to take photographs of Bloc Party. Not only are they one of my favourite bands but I had also not yet seen them live. Normally when this is the case, the band just plays alright and I have a good time, tonight however was different, they were incredible. I have a new found respect for these guys and now want to support them more then ever.
