31 December 2009 – I normally find “BEST OF” lists kind of cheesy but for this entire year I have been thinking of what my favourite shows have been, not only from a work point of view but taking into account the entire experience including things like the sound, lighting, venue, crowd, set list and performance.
21 December 2009 – This passed weekend in the freezing cold I had a shoot with the really nice guys of After the Ordeal and it was an amazing day out that started off with me having to push their tour van after Gary got it stuck in the ice when he came to collect me from Barnehurst Rail Station. 17 December 2009 – Tonight I photographed New Model Army for the 4th time in 5 years and I was really excited about this show because I have been a huge fan of their work for years.
12 December 2009 – One of my favourite band discoveries this years has to be White Rabbits and I was lucky to have already worked with them once this year since then. Last month they were back in London and I got to shoot with them again and enjoy their live set which seemed to have gotten better.
09 December 2009 – Just before traveling out I had a shoot with the really cool guys from What Is Life For? at a location that was one of the weirdest places I have ever seen. It is known as the concrete jungle because it is an old crusty council estate that has been semi evacuated so that they can smash it down and then vandals have come and burnt some of it.
05 December 2009 – I have been really busy shooting of late so this blog has been slightly neglected but I am busy working in the office now for a few days to catch up on processing and getting the photos logged and sorted so things should be back up to normal shortly. I had a shoot with Rob and Kal about a week before I headed out on tour and I remember that it was pretty cold and that we were all moaning a lot that evening.
03 December 2009 – Tonight I shot photographs of Zebra and Giraffe as they opened for The Killers in Johannesburg at The Dome. These guys are one of my favourite bands that I have worked with and it has been over a year since I had seen them last play.
