14 October 2009 – Tonight I spent time with my special friends from Dear Reader as they played the last show of their European tour.

I have known them for a long time and worked with them since the early stages of their project and its amazing to see them getting better and growing as a band each time. This tour was quite a special one for them because Brent Knopf (from the band Menomena and producer of Dear Readers current album) was out touring his new side project called Ramona Falls. It was amazing to witness because the four Dear Reader members joined him in Ramona Falls as his band members and then when Dear Reader played Brent joined them as their 5th member. It all sounds pretty confusing as I read this but it was incredible.

Small-ish show in a very cool venue with TERRIBLE red or blue LED’s so I did my best to try and work around that so that I could capture the moment for the guys. These are a few of them.

05 March 2009 – Dear Reader are currently in the UK on a tour to launch their album in Germany and I worked with them yesterday in Hyde Park to shoot a few press promotional images for them to use with the launch. The weather was really terrible when I woke up in the morning but as we met it just seemed to break for us and last for the entire time. I am really happy with these photos and cannot wait to see them used.

30 December 2008 – I shot new photographs with the Dear Reader crew last week and as always it was really natural and fun working with them.

They are just about to launch their new album in Europe and it will be good to see them again in London in March and we have scheduled a shoot together for then.

I cannot wait for their album to come out.

06 November 2008 – I photographed Dear Reader to be used for Press for their new up coming album. I love working with Darryl and Cherilyn because they are always open to trying something new and we went all out there for this shoot by setting up a camp site and hanging them in trees.

25 January 2007 – Harris Tweed were in studio recording 2 days ago working on a cover song of Bob Dylan’s that will feature in an up and coming compilation. I joined them in studio to document the process and we ended up shooting a few portraits at the same time. This is one of the portraits of the band as well as one of Cherilyn during her recording.

15 November 2006 – I worked on one of my favourite photoshoots this weekend with a new band that I know will do big things in the future and that I will hopefully be able to work with more. The band is called Harris Tweed and it made up of Cherilyn Macneil and Darryl Torr as a duo. Their album has just been released so the new photographs will be used as promotional images in the media. I loved the concepts and I don’t want to give away too many of the images just yet but these are a few to give you an idea of where we were going with it.
