14 September 2010 – I shot a few promo shots with the guys The Dead Famous which we’ve had to all keep hush about until now.

The band bring together members of three well known bands (Go:Audio, Elliot Minor and Saving Aimee) in the forms of James, Dan and Satoshi. They are joined by Luke and together they have been working on some new material for a project that I think is going to do super well.

We all had to keep really quiet about this one but the guys have just announced the project as well as their first show which will be at The Barfly in Camden on the 3rd of November 2010. It’s bound to be a good one so make sure to get down if there are still tickets available.

I have worked with James and Dan before on a project so it was a pleasure to work with them again. These are a few of the shots I like from the shoot.

03 January 2010 – This is my first post for 2010 and it is one that I have been meaning to get up for some time now but it’s really hard catching up some times and I have a good amount of backlog to get through but I am making a good attempt right now.

I have worked with the guys at Criminal Damage quite a few times now but this was one of my favourite shoots with them because of the crew that I worked with. The shoot was for their current Look Book and the models for it were Dan Hetherton (Elliot Minor), James Matthews (GO:AUDIO), El Wood and Lora Leigh.

We used All Star Lanes in Brick Lane as the location and it’s an amazing venue with a bowling alley with really cool American 50′s Style Diner.

These are just a few of the photos from the shoot that I really like. Definitely looking forward to working with everyone again.

17 October 2009 – Tonight I joined the guys from GO:AUDIO at the final show of their tour at Shepherds Bush Empire.

I met the front man James on a photo shoot that I did for the new Criminal Damage catalogue (photos to follow soon) as he was one of the artists used as a model for it. He was a super nice guy to work with and we got to talking about their upcoming tour which just finished and he asked me if I would be down to join them on the final date in London so I did. I have worked with a lot of bands now and I still get excited when the guys are just down to earth and having a lot of fun doing what they do and these guys were another perfect example of this.

The crowd went completely insane during their set and I almost got worried that the ladies were going to go overboard and jump the barrier to raid the guys on stage. Hormones were running wild for sure and the guys didn’t let that allow them to lose focus and they all made sure to end their tour with an amazing show. I have never seen them play before so this was the first time and I look forward to the next time they play in London.

The lighting was really boring from a photography point of view which is a pity because this is normally my favourite venue to photograph live music at but for some reason it was just really dark and the lights just weren’t pointed in the right places at all. Luckily the guys had asked me to shoot so there was no 3 song rule and no stupid “you cannot use flash” rule so I made use of one of my trusty SB-800′s and just slowed everything down a bit to try and get some ambiance while just filling in with my strobe. This helped a bit but really it was just one of those nights so I did sit back most of the time to just watch what the guys were doing.

These are just a few of my favourites from the night. Thanks to James and the boys for looking after me and although I was feeling under the weather it was a definite good time
