The Gaslight Anthem at Brixton Academy

26 June 2010 – Ever since I photographed The Gaslight Anthem last year I have been super into them and hoping for the chance to shoot with them again which is why I was so excited about tonight.

As I knew the was was incredible and worth every penny I paid for my ticket before I got booked for this shoot. Brian Fallon is the bands front man and I think the “coolest” and definitely one of the nicest guys in the industry. My job was to get a few good live shots of him so this is what I focused on in the short time that we were given (as photographers) and it’s really lucky because the rest of the band were in the dark. Brian was quite well lit if he stayed on the microphone but the space of light was small so it was interesting to work with.

Anyway, I loved this show and would recommend anyone to make a plan and see them live. As I’ve said before, you will leave wishing you had the time off work just so you can take a long road trip to somewhere. That’s what music should be about.
