Johnny Clegg at The Forum

19 June 2010 – I have been a long time fan of Johnny Clegg and have seen / photographed him perform more times than I can imagine but this only gets me more excited for each new time I get to see him and tonight was no exception.

The Forum was the fullest I have seen it to date with ever space filled to the brim and, as is the case with all Johnny shows, everyone was out to party and have a good time. It has been 30 years since Johnny started playing music so tonight was a celebration of that and the set was really long filled with a broad range of songs from his awesome collection.

It was a perfect show, besides a few sound issues at the start, and it was great to see a South African performer accepted so well in London …. even if the venue was filled 95% with South Africans.
