Brand New at The Forum

27 June 2009 – Tonight I photographed Brand New which is one of my favourite bands so it was an absolute pleasure.

The photos were used for a review (which I ended up writing too because of slight complications) for Clink Music Magazine so I won’t give away too much here because you can read all about it on their site.

How was the show? Amazing! I really like them a lot and it’s always good shooting bands that I really like no matter how open minded I am to music in general. The band was really tight and really talented and I cannot wait to see them again and get my hands on their next album which I heard will be out towards the end of the year.

I have to add that the lighting was the most terrible I have ever photographed in (in the allotted time) because it was absolutely dark and the only lighting was from the back center and not being able to use flash made it really challenging to get decent stuff. I played with the silhouette idea which is something I normally never really do but I thought it would be better than nothing. The 3 song was actually not lit really at all. It was weird but still a pleasure I guess.
