The Revival Tour at Islington Academy

19 October 2012 – One of my favourite shows of last year had to be The Revival Tour so I was really excited to be shooting this year again hoping that it would be half as good as it was before … that it definitely was.

Chuck has a really good sense at getting the perfect group of people together for this and I have never experienced this kind of show anywhere else before. The whole point of the tour is to create and share a camaraderie through the music and I felt it along with the rest of the venue which was full up.

This tour included Chuck Ragan, Emily Barker, Cory Branan, Jay Malinowski, Rocky Votolato, Joe Ginsberg, Jon Gaunt, The Dead Coast and a few other special guests.

To be honest, I wasn’t really familiar with everyone’s work before this show but I know I will be buying every one of their records.

I can only hope that next year the tour happens again … I almost count the days until then … just in case.

Make sure to look up the artists and keep your eye on the tour announcements. You really would be stupid to miss it next time round.
