We Are The Ocean at Electric Ballroom

23 September 2009 – At the start of this year when we moved to London, I was introduced to the sounds of We Are The Ocean and I immediately fell in love with their music. It feels like it’s been forever in regards to me waiting to see them and tonight was that night.

I was quite worried because I wasn’t sure if I was going to be disappointed or not but I definitely wasn’t. The guys hit the stage with such power and it’s evident that they are going to be HUGE in the near future. In anticipation for the show I have streamed their tracks off their MySpace for the last week and it was so cool to see them play those songs live.

Electric Ballroom is one of my least favourite venues to photograph because the stage is so high and because the lights are not in a good position but I plugged in my flash gun and made do with what was available and got some shots that I really like. These are a few of them.

If you do not know these guys, make sure to give them a listen. They have just added one of their new tracks to their MySpace player and it will definitely go down well.
