Goo Goo Dolls at The Forum
21 November 2010 – Tonight I was lucky enough to work with the Goo Goo Dolls and they are one of the bands that I have been into for as long as I can remember.
They’re also one of the bands that I can remember pin-pointing exactly the first time I heard a song of theirs. It honestly was a show I have been excited to see for ages and the fact that I was asked to shoot got me feeling super lucky.
The setlist was incredible ranging through classics through their entire catalogue. The guys also were really “cool” and seemed more excited than most bands I have seen over the years and they have been together for ages and have played loads of shows together. It’s great seeing passion and excitement like that.
Anyway, I really enjoyed this show and shooting it was good fun. There was a spotlight on Jon for the songs that I shot so he was definitely the main focus of the show during the time so most of my shots are of him although the band all added to the show. These are a few of my favourites from the set.
Make sure to try see these guys live if you can. Take a partner. It’s the perfect show for that.
great pix of the great goo goo dolls! and it WAS an excellent gig…they really feed off the energy of their fans over this side of the world…there is a totally different vibe, compared to the states…they are gone back now, totally re-energized…anyway, well done…thanks for sharing!
As a fellow Goo fan I must say – EXCELLENT photos!!! What an honor and a rush to photo them huh? I’ve been lucky enough to go to 2 of their shows this past year. Their concerts are worth EVERY penny, never fail to rock, and ensure an amazing time. Anyways, nice shots!
