Thrice at Wembley Arena

23 January 2010 – Today was one of those days that I had been looking forward to for ages but it started off 2 days ago with me catching flu which was not gone by today. Lame. Anyway, I was too excited to let that get me down so I overdosed on some flu meds and headed out on a really long journey (thanks to planned engineering works) to Wembley Arena.

A really good friend of mine introduced me to Thrice a few years ago and I have to admit that I never really got into them until about 2 years ago when I heard a live unplugged album of theirs and since then I have always been really excited to see them live one day. Tonight was that night as they opened at Wembley Arena and I got to shoot a few photographs with them. The lighting was absolutely crap and the stage was super high so I was only able to shoot a few shots of Dustin and Eddie. I shot a few quick and then just enjoyed and took in what they were doing> Amazing.

Unfortunately their guitarist, Teppei, didn’t join them on tour for personal reasons so they were joined by Nate of The Dear Hunter but he is also incredible.

All, I have to say is that if you haven’t seen these guys live, make sure to watch the video clip at the end of this post.
