Young Guns at Brixton Academy

13 March 2011 – Tonight I photographed the guys from Young Guns playing the best supported support slot at Brixton Academy ever.

Having worked with the guys a few times over the last two years its amazing for me to see them grow especially as much as they have and seeing them again tonight totally reminds me why they are doing so well … they work really hard, their material is great and they have a powerful live show.

Normally when I shoot at a venue like Brixton Academy the venue isn’t even a quarter full when the opening band hits the stage but tonight it was just as full as it would get the entire night and the whole venue seemed to be fully into the guys set. Arms raised with Gus and the boys rocking out is a great sight.

Anyway, I won’t carry on but basically just recommend that anyone who hasn’t seen the guys play a live show yet need to make a plan soon because they are going to keep on getting bigger and you are missing out.

Amazing set … short but amazing.

These are a few of the shots I took. Too many so just chose some at random.
